Accessibility

Show Me Web Design wants this website to be usable by as many people as practical, across different devices, abilities, and ways of navigating.

Our approach

This website is designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA principles as a practical target. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and no statement can guarantee that every page will work perfectly with every combination of assistive technology and browser.

Measures used on this site

  • Semantic headings, landmarks, labels, lists, and native controls.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, disclosures, dialogs, and visible focus behavior.
  • A skip link to bypass repeated navigation.
  • Labels, instructions, validation summaries, and status announcements for forms.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images and hidden treatment for decorative images.
  • Responsive reflow down to 320 CSS pixels without page-level horizontal scrolling.
  • Readable text sizing, contrast checks, and control targets of at least 24 CSS pixels or an equivalent labeled hit area.
  • Content that remains available if reveal animation or JavaScript is unavailable.
  • Reduced motion support and reduced reliance on color alone to communicate meaning.

Known limitations

Third-party websites linked from portfolio entries, hosting forms, embedded services, and vendor-controlled interfaces may not provide the same level of accessibility. Show Me Web Design welcomes reports about barriers within this website and will prioritize reasonable corrections.

Need assistance or found a barrier?

Email [email protected] and include the page address, what you were trying to do, the barrier encountered, and, if comfortable, the browser or assistive technology used. You may also request project information in a more accessible format.

Response goal: acknowledge accessibility messages promptly and provide either a correction, an accessible alternative, or a clear update about what is possible.

Accessibility in client projects

New website proposals include accessibility fundamentals appropriate to the scope. Formal audits, legal compliance opinions, remediation of third-party systems, ongoing monitoring, and specialized testing are separate services unless specifically included in writing.
